Los Angeles Electrical Project Cost Report

The dataset is being developed. We are publishing the methodology before the numbers so future ranges can be audited instead of invented.

Projects the report will cover

Minimum record fields

Every usable record should identify project type, quote or completion date, property type, market area or ZIP, included labor and material, permit status, panel/service scope, route distance, trenching, finish repair, taxes, incentives, and whether the number is a quote or completed-project total.

Normalization rules

Like-for-like comparison requires separate categories for outlet versus hardwired charging, panel-only replacement versus service-capacity increase, overhead versus underground service, and included versus excluded repair. Records with unknown scope should not be blended into a precise range.

Publication threshold

No range will publish until the sample size, collection window, geography, scope consistency, outlier handling, and sponsor influence can be disclosed. Sponsored contractors may contribute data, but sponsorship status must be recorded and may not control the published result.
