Sources and methodology
How rate, program, project, and calculator information is collected, structured, dated, and limited.

Utility rates
Published rate components are copied from the responsible utility’s current table with their effective period and verification date. Calculators expose the specific values used and describe exclusions such as taxes, credits, prorating, special riders, and non-electric charges.
Rebates and programs
Program summaries point to the administering agency and avoid promising eligibility, funding, or approval. Because requirements can change, purchase and installation decisions should be checked against the current official page.
Permits
Permit content distinguishes an available process from a project-specific determination. Online permit availability does not prove that a specific applicant or project qualifies for that path.
Electrical project pricing
The site will not infer Los Angeles project prices from a few national articles. The planned cost-report dataset will define project categories, inclusions, exclusions, property type, service conditions, ZIP or market area, quote date, and whether the record is a quote or completed project.
Calculators
Project calculators currently return a complexity assessment and scope questions, not a fabricated dollar range. The bill calculator is formula-based and tested against its published rate table.
